18. Speech Choir (Champion)

      After all the struggles and pain we are all on this together. And it grows another victory! I feel overwhelmed and proud to my blockmates because I am one of them. We help each other if there's a competition and events. And tadaaa! We are CHAMPIONS! I am thankful to god because he granted my wishes. And one of my wishes is to win this competition.

                         During our practice, everyone seems busy to their roles and I am one of them. I always listen to our choreographer and to the leaders. Some of my blockmates we're playing all the time and sometimes I shouted at them because it's not funny anymore. But, there are times that we are having fun with each other and we do that if the practice is over. Every day we always practice to make our stage play more beautiful.

                                      There are different courses inside the Auditorium and all of them were good! Someone called our group and we go there but they should play our AVP first. So after playing our AVP. We started to play our presentation and we are all focused to what would happen next. "Pak pak pak ganorn" that words come up in my mind whenever we move another step and it was fun hahahaha! After we played I am thankful to MA because they cheered us. We go back to our seats to hear the other IGNITE SPEAKER and after the speaker, the judge will say who'll win the competition. 

             All the judges were done giving trophies to other courses and  our block wasn't called yet. I feel very nervous that time and someone called our block and said that we are the CHAMPIONS of the competition. I feel honored and at the same time happy. Because all the pains are worth it. And we go in the stage to have picture taking with professors and the MA block. We are best friends and we are there to support each other. 

             Thank you for our professors who taught us all about English and I will miss my professors. Especially, Ms. Elizabeth. I might cry now hahahaha. I will miss the happenings in our English Term. And I won't forget the victory and the memories.

            

17. Speed Speech

                        At first, I feel very scared to this game when the host called my name and I don't know how to overcome my fear. Me and My Blockmate Charella, tried this game if it's effective and I promised to myself that I will win this game. There are 5 contestants and all you have to do is to transition words. I feel nervous at the first thought because I don't know how the mechanics goes through the game.

        Game flows and all of us are speaking. I'm so happy when the host told me that I am the next speaker. So, I go in front and transitioned all the words he said. Many people are supporting me and they are shouting "Go tinah! Go tinah!" I was so happy and I answered all the words.

        And after all of the contestants done with their speaks. The judges give their verdict to us. I received 3 Likes which means that all of them are agreed with my transitions. To be specific, it means EXCELLENT! 

          So I have to challege my opponent which is a BM student. The host give all the words but it's vice versa. The game flows and flows and students chose me to be the WINNER of the game! And lastly, I overcome my fear without doubts and I wish that I can play the game again. 

         Thanks for AC and TM for supporting me and my crush see me having a speech in front. Waaaah! I'm blushing and at the same time inloved. He is a BM student. A man who wears glasses and he is BELANI. He is my inspiration why I won the game.

16. SPEAK SENSE

       
     

       

       At friday, we have no classes again so our professor told us to watch the students showcase their talents in terms of speaking and who would win. I feel nervous at first eventhough I'm not joined in the competition and I have goosebumps to them because I don't know what would happen next but more excitement. Other speakers are emotional and I really feel the feelings of them attached on their speeches.

        There 10 speakers and each of them will go in front to state their speeches. I feel excited because I want to hear what will they speak of course. I admire the girl one because her speech has a lot of feelings and she won as a 1st place of this competition. All of us was shocked and amazed. 

         She's worth it and she nailed all of the prize and she's very nice and good. I like this kind of activity because it helps us to train ourselves to become good speakers in the future.

15. Phantom of the OPERA

                     I love this play because they are all good in singing! How I wish my voice was like their voices. I heard some people says the title because it's very popular and I love this very much. 

      

         All the characters played their roles very nice, the props, the prosthetics are well used. I was stunned for a while when Christine sang a song and it makes my heart melted because of the lovely voice she had. I feel like i'm blowing by the wind and I have a crush on Erik. At the end of the play, I thought that he will remove the mask and the prosthetics as well because I want to see his handsome face.

          At the end of the play, the woman who first played the role of Christine was there, surprising the audience, including myself. I was amazed when she sang. It seems like her voice never gets old because it was still beautiful as ever, the former phantom was also there and he was also good. And they collaborate with other singers.

14. Seminar of Media Literacy

Last wednesday, 

          The first speaker which is Ms. Edmallyne Remillano discuss about how to write story more realistic. Ms. Remillano is a head writer and talent association of GMA network. Her speech about journalism was good and made a big impact on us, audience. She told us that journalism is about making the important interests and the interesting relevance. She taught us many ways on how to write a story and to be strong even if it's too hard.

          The second speaker is Ms. Jan Meynard Nualla and she discussed about society blaming the social media. She also discussed about how we should not blame to social media sites because you might hurt a feeling of one another. She also tell us to always be prepare on what is happening on our society and not only giving attention to things that entertainment given us.

           The last speaker is Ms. Lian Nami Buan. She discuss about the role of media and advocacy journalism. She also discuss their work and the process on how they do it.

           All the speakers were really good at speaking  and they really inspire all the people who is in front of them that day . If someone would ask me if i would recommend this seminar to others i would say yes because it's very helpful and it contains lots of knowledge so you'll have an idea how to appreciate them.

13. Plagiarism

                          

         Copy everywhere you want.These are the things that most lazy people do when they’re making some thesis, projects or assignments. It is the way where many people keeps copying the work of one another without crediting to the owner. 

          The expression of original ideas is considered intellectual property and is protected by copyright laws, just like original inventions. Almost all forms of expression fall under copyright protection as long as they are recorded in some way. 

    

              Using an image, video or piece of music in a work you have produced without receiving proper permission or providing appropriate citation is plagiarism. The following activities are very common in today’s society. Despite their popularity, they still count as plagiarism. 

        According to some of people, plagiarism helps them to makes their project more easier that it has been before. Some people are plagiarized because they have no time to do the necessary work of them if the deadline is tomorrow. They have to plagiarize anything to sustain their needs to their works. 

            The legality of these situations, and others, would be dependent upon the intent and context within which they are produced. The two safest approaches to take in regards to these situations is confirm the works usage permissions and cite them properly.


             Do credits to them because it's their ideas not yours so appreciate their works. You have to face consequences because what you do is cheating. But, overall you have to take risks because if you want to be passed, pursue it and work hard for it to be successful.

       

12. Christmas on 25th of December

                            

         I love christmas! My birthday was on December 25, 1998 and I feel blessed because I have the same birthday of our lord Jesus. We all know that lots of people are celebrating christmas every year, right? It's good because it helps us to bond to our family and we think of our lord, Jesus. Well, I'll state why christmas was celebrated on 25th of December.

          The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ. A Mass service where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life. The 'Christ-Mass' service was the only one that was allowed to take place after sunset (and before sunrise the next day), so people had it at Midnight! So we get the name Christ-Mass, shortened to Christmas. Because Christmas Day is the day where baby Jesus is born and the three kings arrived to bless the baby and also the parents.

            There's a strong and practical reason why Jesus might not have been born in the winter, but in the spring or the autumn! It can get very cold in the winter and it's unlikely that the shepherds keep out of the hill. Many people who have studied the Bible, think that Sukkot would be a likely time for the birth of Jesus as it might fit with the description of there being 'no room in the inn'. It also would have been a good time to take the Roman Census as many Jews went to Jerusalem for the festival and they would have brought their own tents/shelters with them!

             I love it when I saw family having their quality time, and many are happy because they are exchanging gifts and they are showing their love to their loved ones and Jesus is happy because he see that many family are gathered to celebrate the day where Jesus was born. 

11. The Changes Of Technology May Harm You (Approved Topic)

       

      The risk of internet connection, the electronic connection with one another to communicate our desires and trust with one another are some reasons why we use technology. Lots of people are addicted in technologies who have been taking too much power in our society. I am Christian Munoz, and I have witnessed these changes. That changes? The bad effects of a technology in a relationship. Is technology harmful for people? However, it has the potential to either make us our break us. Some of people used technologies daily or weekends.

           People nowadays spends too much time for social media sites some of children is very addicted on facebook. Therefore, many subscribers tend to have more stomach aches and suffer from sleeping problems along anxiety or depression. Social media drives us aways to our loved ones. Many people are spending too much time chatting with their facebook friends and lots of subscribers have lost their connections to the real world.

             Technology creates a person who is completely different from the real one. Social media sometimes create sororities and make a person more vulnerable to harassment. Some person creates a false impression or violence such as discrimination. Many children are vulnerable to bullying, even their parents are involved to the devastation of online attacks and some children choose to spend time alone and sometimes they are lack of self esteem.

        Many of our devices leads to malfunction of our studies. Some of the followers trying to squeeze more activities into their busy lives. Technology causes our brains to quickly switch from one task to another. Social sites can make bad influence to a lot of people, Facebook is an application where many people can connect in just one register. Some of applications makes people easy too be stalked because of their personal information. Social networking sites can help us socialize with other people, some account continues to process whereby an hacker trying to recognize all of us. People should be aware to avoid hackers and to learn the appropriate behavior with social skills.

             

               

10. It's all about Angela Marie Manalang-Gloria

       Angela Marie Legaspi Manalang was born on August 23, 1907 in Guagua, Pampanga to parents, Felipe Dizon Manalang (born in Mexico, Pampanga and Tomasa Legaspi whom she hardly mentions. However, their family later settled in the Bicol region, particularly in Albay. Caring—as she is fondly called—studied at St. Agnes Academy in Legaspi, where she graduated valedictorian in elementary. In her senior year, she moved to St. Scholastica's College in Malate, Manila, where her writing started to get noticed.

    
     
      Angela Manalang was among the first 

generation female students at the University

 of the Philippines. Angela initially enrolled

   in law, as suggested by her father.However,

    with the advice of her professor C.V.

    Wickers, who also became her mentor, she

     eventually transferred to literature.

She was the author of Revolt from Hymen, a poem protesting against marital rape, which caused her denial by an all-male jury from winning   

         The Philippine's Commonwealth Literary Awards in 1940. She was also the author of the poetry collection, Poems, first published in 1940 (and revised in 1950). The collection contained the best of her early work as well as unpublished poems written between 1934-1938. 

    Her last poem, Old Maid Walking on a City Street can also be found in the collection. This book was her entry to the Commonwealth Literary Awards, losing to Rafael Zulueta y da Costa’s verse Like the Molave.

9. Why LGBT COMMUNITY should be respected?

      
     
       It's one of the most controversial issue. It's not only happened in the Philippines but it also happens around the world. Many people are still criticizing the gender equality of a person and they don't think what would be the effect of this to a people. Well, I'll state my opinions for this issue.

     

        Why gender is important? Gender is important because it defines you who you love and who you respect and also who you believe. But what matters is your behavior. There are lots of people underestimated gays, even other countries does. My sympathy is for all the Lgbt members out there.

        

         All they need is LOVE and RESPECT. They believe in god and that's true. LGBT COMMUNITY stands to protect the Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual and Transgenders. The world should be good to everyone and every person should help each other to build a good country and relationship.

       

         There are types of Transgender. The first one is Pre-op it means that you're still having a man's organ eventhough you're taking hormonal pills. The second one is Post-op which is a Transgender was done in a Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS), It means that you have a female organ. Transgender women exists! and I would like to educate you and make you realize humans that they're not a gay anymore. Because when they were a young children they act like a biological women and they are already accepted by their family and they act like a female and they dress up like a girl.

          

        All we need is respect and support not hatred and violence because as you always watching television to become updated. Many people are killing and spitting shame to the gays. My answer is What's wrong with gays? They are the ones who makes people happy and they are the ones who have determination to become successful in life. They already feel the struggles and the destruction of life and the world should appreciate their existence and experience. We are beautiful in our own way and We are who we are because we're just expressing our real identity and we're so proud for being ourselves.

       LGBT MEMBERS are not a bad person. People should learn from it because god made us and all we need is love equality not war. We can be friends and lovers not warriors.

What I want you to realize is to appreciate our presence and beliefs because some people support the way we dressed up and the way we act. Some of them are good and love the way we live our lives.

WE WANT PEACE and GENDER EQUALITY. Support love not hate and discrimination because it doesn't help us.

8. Memories on (SOM WEEK)

   

              School of Management, And Yes! It's our week. Many students are preparing for this awaited event. They have a lots of activities to join with. Lots of fun and more adventures. We first joined the TMYSTERY, You have to investigate what was happened to Luisa the daughter of Jose Roberto. At first, I feel pressured because of the scary objects inside the room but with the teamwork we gathered inside I became more brave.

   

         It's very exciting to be an investigator. You have to search and answer the questions they might give you with your friends. We entered the room in 4:30pm and given a time of 30 minutes to finish the quest. I am afraid to the sound and the shout of the students inside. Hahahaha.

  

CHOCOLATEY BUDDIES

              On Thursday, SOM NIGHT is about to start and we are preparing for the prize that will given to us. Because someone texted me to go in the party. They music beats and students are energetic and dancing. We also dance of course. We jump on the floor. And still dancing.

             We send our food stub to the higher year students to give us the food. And we go back to our designated place and eat. After that, The emcee go in the front to call the winners of their activity. I feel nervous because of the beat. They called the other groups and so on. But when the party lights stopped. They suddenly called our group name which is (Chocolatey Buddies) won the 1st Place. Mygod? Hahaha. I feel proud because we receive the highest prize.

          

          Lastly, I am hoping that they will publish more activity like this. I want to win prizes and to have fun with my group and friends. Well hopefully, I want to play more another games from them which is more exciting and will make our heart scared.

7. P-A-R-A-S-Y-T-E

SHINICHI

    

              You should watch this movie for yourself. I will give you some scenes. It was a great yet heart-touching story. Because he is fighting with other enemies. I mean his enemies haunts him. Furthermore, Migi the parasite always saves his life. Shinichi is a boy who is a normal type of person but when this happened to him, He started to be brave enough because he has the ability to see and to kill enemies like aliens. The next day, His mother walking to enter their house and suddenly she saw a dead body. The parasite have the chance to transport into another body and that is Shinichi's mother. So she went to the home with a box and opened the door with a (beast mode) emotions.

    

             It's like waking up everyday just like normal, But one day a parasite enters Shinichi's arm and it makes him irritable at first. He feels the struggle of the pain. Shinichi's mom go to his room and check her son if he is okay. She massaged her son's arm. This movie is revised into 3d graphic. It's also a Anime Movie. The movie itself is very amazing to watch because it has fun on it and at the same time scary.

     

        At first Shinichi don't want believe what is happening awhile ago but his mother changed its voice into a man. He cried and tell his mom that it wasn't true but Migi told him that his mother is already died and gone. She hit her son with no hesitations.(Shinichi's near death experience) He died because of the pain he felt but Migi shared his part to revive his friend. The wounds are slowly closed and he starts to be alive because of the blood that  is connected to his body. He roam around the street to find his mom. Everywhere, Anytime he go search and search.

      

              Lastly he defeated his mom with a very sad emotion. He don't know what to do to his mom. Many questions are popping into his mind saying "Don't kill her, It's your mom." but at the end of the day his mother died and he live alone because his girlfriend also died.

                            End of the story.

6. APC Smoke Free Campaign

          I am glad to know that we have this kind of platform to acknowledge others to prevent the cause of this object to our lives. We all know that smoking is essential to everyone and It's one of the phenomena to the people to harm their selves. It can affect your heart, lungs and so your brains too.

              I noticed that most of the teenagers do using this. They smoke because they thought that they will look matured after using this but there are causes that may happen if you continuously use it. Some are inviting their friends, cousins, family and many more. The reason why they like this is because it has nicotine inside, It makes a person more addicted.

             I'm observing some of the cases like this in our school everyday. But It's great to know that we have this campaign to our school because it develops our community. It can also help others too! It can also save life. We can stop smoking by changing ourselves first. Use other things rather than using cigarettes.

           Me as a student I always saw some of students hitting their cigarettes outside the classroom. They didn't know the causes of this chemical in our body. They are slowly committing their selves to death. They can get cancer infections regarding to this matter.

4. Turn LEFT, Turn RIGHT

        I like it when we are required to watch this video because I sense the climax of the story. It would bring a lots of love to us to inspire our life at the thought of searching for our soulmate with my friends.

So here's the story of their love. There is a girl

 named Eve Choi who is searching for her 

childhood savior. The boy who helped her to be

 brave enough, the boy who become his brother.

The boy is John Liu. A boy who has no friend.

 Time goes by, John Liu transformed into a 

handsome great man. When he is leaving his 

house. Eve Choi is also leaving the house but 

they're not in the same way. Eve Choi goes to

 the right and John Liu goes to the left. But

 they are always meet at one place.

         Eve Choi really admires John Liu that she
 always dream of her childhood crush. There 
are some instances that happened to them. She 
is looking for her one and only and he is John
 Liu the one who loves Eve. And he is the
 crush
 of eve. The mighty power of the love she have
 for his childhood crush.
    

      The co-incidences are well performed by the

 both sides. They bother with a unexplainable 

things in their minds. They are both dreaming

 day and night. Then one day Mr. Hu came to 

eve's life though he wants to be her husband.

 Furthermore, Ruby also wants John to be his 

girlfriend. But at the end of the day. They still 

searching for one's heart.



        Suddenly, they met in a place where the 

author is there. Eve's document fell in thewater 

accidentally. And John Liu have to remove his 

shoes to help eve. They roam around the park 

and get their phone numbers. But the rain

 pours

the ground massively so they run in different

 way. And when they got home, They have the

 opportunity to look the number given by the 

can't read the numbers on a piece of paper.

              They do guess every numbers that might help them. But they called other restaurants, companies, hospital and many more. They got sick from the rain so John Liu call for the emergency for the assistance and suddenly the ambulance go to Eve's residence. And john waits for nothing.

     

          Furthermore, Both Eve and John met 

in their house where earthquake currently

digging their houses. They fell in love with 

each other and they live happily ever after.

5. Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo

        

THE BALD SOPRANO

    This film is very funny. It has the characteristics and the characters with a  very funny personalities. The message of the film was very deep and all of my colleagues are shocked when it starts because they are very creative and human friendly. Kidding aside some of their movies are exaggerated but they can manage the way they do it. It's a kind of parody film revised by author.  

        I am confused at first glance to it. But it
 became clearer for me to understand the flow 
of the story and the role itself. In the 
first 
thought I was like why is that? But in the
 climax
 where I'm going to start laughing I guess
 the 
hint of the play. They bring a joyfulness in 
my 
face and I give them a big smile which is 
essential to me and comes from my lips because
 their efforts are all worth it. They nailed
 it, 
They did a great job about the film that is 
uneasy to recognize. But at the end of the 
day.
 I realize the part of their story. Lastly, I 
want 
to say that all of their cast of this are 
well 
performed and professionals. I like the way 
they act like that because It makes sense to
 their viewers.
